Summer Math for Students Entering Grades K-5

While there is no specific required math work over the summer for students entering Kindergarten through 5th grade, we have created playful activities for students to review what they learned in math with their teacher this past school year. These are optional activities. Each includes things that may be done with family and friends. Just a few minutes thinking and talking about math every day will help keep math skills sharp!

Summer Reading for Students Entering Grades K-5

We are excited to kick off our Suffield Reads Kwame! Summer Reading Challenge! This summer, students in grades K–5 will have the opportunity to explore the books and poems of Kwame Alexander through a variety of fun and creative activities. Each week, students can choose an activity from the Kwame Alexander Choice Board, such as reading a poem, creating a poster, writing a letter, illustrating a poem, or composing their own slam poem.
