Elementary Summer Learning
Summer Math for Students Entering Grades K-5
While there is no specific required math work over the summer for students entering Kindergarten through 5th grade, we have created playful activities for students to review what they learned in math with their teacher this past school year. These are optional activities. Each includes things that may be done with family and friends. Just a few minutes thinking and talking about math every day will help keep math skills sharp!
Summer Reading for Students Entering Grades K-5
Fostering a lifelong love of reading is the single greatest gift we can give our children. This summer, foster the love of reading by engaging, as a family, in our One Book, One Community reading of Saving Winslow. Then, continue the reading tradition by completing our Summer Reading Board that provides numerous opportunities to read books - fiction and non-fiction - that connect to the various topics and themes found within Saving Winslow. Make reading a priority and encourage your child(ren) to read every day.
