Our library facility is an inviting and exciting place to be! With over 15,000 books everyone is sure to find something interesting to read! In addition to books, the library offers magazines for student circulation. Access to the internet is provided through bookmarked sites. Our circulation and catalog system is Destiny.
Books and periodicals circulate for one week. During the weekly class visit, Kindergarten students may borrow 1 book. First and Second Graders may borrow 2.
Between scheduled visits students may visit the library to select another book at any time.
If a student forgets their library book on their scheduled day they may return it the next day and borrow a new one then.
Materials may be renewed if they are not on reserve.
Lost or damaged books
Students who lose or damage books beyond repair will be charged the replacement cost of the book. If you want permission for your child to check out books while lost books are being sought please contact Mrs. Insero.
The library media center program strives to teach our students to be independent reading consumers. We encourage students to make selections that a parent/guardian will read to them, one that they can read independently, or one that may interest them but also may challenge their reading ability.
The makerspace is an open area used by students during class or independent choice time where they can gather to tinker, build, experiment and share ideas. The makerspace includes recycled materials for building, iPads, a Lego wall, coding robots, and a take apart area for students to learn about the inner workings of electronics. If you have any materials to donate to our makerspace, please drop them off in the school’s foyer.
Volunteers If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Ms. Johnson at email@example.com. We are always looking for help with book shelving and other small projects.
