PreK-5 Curriculum

The elementary curriculum is designed to build strong foundations in literacy, mathematics, and social-emotional development. Through Amplify CKLA, students develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while engaging with rich, knowledge-building content in science, social studies, and literature. This integrated approach helps students strengthen literacy skills while expanding their understanding of the world around them. Mathematical learning is supported through Bridges in Mathematics, which emphasizes conceptual understanding, problem-solving, mathematical reasoning, and fluency. Responsive Classroom provides the foundation for social-emotional learning, fostering a sense of belonging, self-awareness, responsibility, and collaboration. Together, these programs create a supportive, engaging, and academically rigorous learning environment that prepares students for future success.

The unit descriptions and scope and sequence provide a general overview of the concepts and skills students will learn throughout the year. As instruction is responsive to student needs, adjustments to pacing and learning activities may be made to ensure engaging and effective learning experiences for students.
