PE and Health

high school building

The Physical Education and Health curriculum provides a comprehensive pathway to lifelong wellness, beginning with foundational, graduation-required courses in both disciplines. In Health, students progress from an essential wellness and life-safety curriculum (Health I) to an advanced, discussion-based course focused on self-advocacy and CPR certification (Health II). After establishing core motor skills and teamwork concepts in the mandatory Physical Education 1 course, upperclassmen can customize their fitness path through three distinct electives: a relaxed and social Lifetime Activities class, a competitive and strategy-driven Team Sports class, or a high-intensity Personal and Group Fitness training environment.
