Grades 6-8 Curriculum

The Suffield Middle School curriculum (Grades 6–8) is designed to bridge the gap between the foundational learning of elementary school and the specialized requirements of high school. Following the Connecticut Core Standards, the curriculum focuses on rigorous academics, social-emotional growth, and Unified Arts exploratory programs.

The unit descriptions and scope and sequence provide a general overview of the concepts and skills students will learn throughout the year. As instruction is responsive to student needs, adjustments to pacing and learning activities may be made to ensure engaging and effective learning experiences for students.
