Internet Safety Assembly

Hello Families,

We are excited to share that we again have the opportunity to have our students participate in an internet safety assembly on Monday, February 29th during the school day. This assembly was one that we had last year and it made a big impact on the students. Our presenter has some new stories to share with our students to remind them of the importance of responsible use with technology. We encourage you to discuss this content with your son/daughter. This assembly is a part of our efforts to maintain a safe and educational digital learning environment and we appreciate your support at home.

Sincerely,

Damon Pearce
Principal

P.R.O.M.I.S.E Girls Valentine Party with Suffield’s Older Citizens

Submitted by: Mrs. Myers, PROMISE Advisor

The PROMISE girls were busy in December making no-sew fleece scarves and hats to give away. We were invited by the Suffield EAA to visit the elderly housing on Bridge Street and visit with the residents during their Valentine Party on Thursday, February 11, 2016.

We decided to give the scarves and hats to the residents (much needed that week with the extreme cold temperatures!) and we also
made potted basil plants for each resident. We walked to the housing and when we arrived at the party; we distributed our gifts to the residents and helped with serving the cake and ice cream. Then we talked with the residents and found some relatives of students at the middle school! It was a great experience for all.
