US News & World Report recently reviewed 31,242 U.S. public high schools; 44 Connecticut schools made the magazine rankings of Best High Schools in the country.  Connecticut has 17 gold medal schools, 20 silver medal schools, and seven bronze medal schools.

Suffield High School earned a silver medal designation ranking 26th in Connecticut and 776th nationally.  Rankings were based on student to teacher ratio, percentage of students taking Advanced Placement tests and scoring three or better, and results on the Math and Reading subtests of the Connecticut Academic Performance Test (CAPT).

The district is proud of the efforts underway at the high school and of this silver medal designation.  This recognition is reflective of the hard work and commitment of teachers, administrators, support staff, and parents to ensure that all children are served.
