Welcome to Suffield Public Schools
The Mission of the Suffield Public Schools is to prepare all students with the knowledge, skills, and attributes required for success in a rapidly-changing world.
Lori Foss has been working in Suffield Public Schools since 2004 as a paraprofessional, first at Suffield Middle School, and then at Suffield High School where she works today. During her time with SPS, Lori has coached the middle school robotics team, worked with both the SMS and SHS drama clubs on costume, prop and set design and helped out with unified sports and unified theater. She studied accounting in college, but her path changed when she had her boys and volunteered in their classrooms. A teacher suggested she apply for a paraprofessional opening, and she took the plunge into education, a change she has never regretted for a minute. Lori lives in West Suffield, and both her boys are Suffield High graduates. Her granddaughter is the apple of her eye!
Schools in the Spotlight
Suffield Public Schools celebrated Black History Month at all four of our schools during the month of February. Some example activities include: high school students in our Black Student Union were mystery readers in our Spaulding classrooms; our McAlister students spent time in their individual homerooms researching influential black figures that have helped shape our world; and middle school students studied Afro-Latino and Black Francophone cultures in their World Language classes.
