Winter Concert

This year’s Winter Concert was outstanding!  The sixth, seventh, and eighth grade musical talents came together on December 11th to show off both their instrumental and vocal skills.  They performed during the day for the middle school students and later at night for families.  The musical selections included everything from seasonal favorites to modern day hits.  In only a few short months these students were able to put together quite a show that had everyone smiling and tapping their feet.  Congratulations to both the band and chorus member of Suffield Middle School!

6th Grade Wax Museum

Suffield Middle School was lucky enough to have some visitors at the Wax Museum on January 9th and 23rd. We were able to meet some influential people such as Sojourner Truth, Jackie Robinson, Malala Yousafzai and George Washington; just to name a few. Although they weren’t the real thing, our sixth graders did such a wonderful job of researching these folks to create a presentation to teach others about their lives and accomplishments. They even dressed the part! It was a wonderful day for our school community and for our parents to share in all the hard work we do here. Great job sixth grade!

Boys and Girls Basketball

Our boys and girls basketball seasons are off to a great start! Coach Dobi reports that the boys have been working hard at practice to install their offense and defense. Unfortunately the boys have lost their first two games to Tolland and Granby but are still looking forward to the rest of the season. Coach Daly says the girls also anticipate a competitive season playing rival JFK Middle School in Enfield, Tolland Middle School and Timothy Edwards Middle School in South Windsor. They are also looking forward to two weekend tournaments at the end of the season in Manchester and Middletown. Come out and support the teams when they’re playing at home. Go Wildcats!
